Delete your Tabmatch account

How to delete your account and your data, what is removed, and what we keep.

Draft wording, to be confirmed before launch. The steps below describe how the app works today. The surrounding text is part of our privacy policy draft and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.

Delete it yourself in the app (fastest)

This works for both clients and providers, and takes effect immediately.

  1. Open the Tabmatch app and sign in.
  2. Clients: tap Profile at the bottom, then Delete my account.
Providers: open the Profile tab, then Delete my account at the bottom.
  3. Read what will be deleted, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.

You are signed out and the account cannot be used again. If you sign in with the same Google account later, you start fresh with a new account.

Can't use the app? Ask us to delete it

Email [contact email to be set before launch: set WEBSITE_CONTACT_EMAIL] from the email address on your Tabmatch account with the subject Delete my account. Tell us whether you were a client or a provider and, if you can, your name and phone number. We may reply to check it is really you. We never need a password: Tabmatch has none, and we will never ask for your Google password.

We delete the account as soon as we have confirmed the request, and at the latest within 30 days. We will email you when it is done.

What is deleted

InformationWhat happens
Your name, email address and sign-in (the link to your Google account)Removed. The account can no longer sign in.
Your chats, every message in them, and the photos you and the other person sentDeleted. Photos are removed from our private storage straight away; if that fails for any reason, it is retried automatically until it succeeds.
Push notification tokensDeleted, so no more notifications reach your phone.
Saved providers (favorites), blocks, and your chat-rules agreementDeleted.
Clients: the phone number, description, job location and device ID on your requests; notifications about themRemoved. Open requests are closed so no provider is asked to answer them.
Providers: business name, phone, email, description, services, cities, waitlist and replies to reviewsRemoved. Your profile becomes an anonymous "Deleted provider" and you are never texted again.
Anything you typed in a reportRemoved (the report itself stays so we can act on abuse).
